Junior Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, enhance, debug, and implement software within an agile development framework.

• Write code that is reusable, testable, and efficient.

• Troubleshoot software application issues or problems.

• Comprehend, learn, and apply emerging capabilities for automated build, test, and deployment.

• Assist in cultivating project teams to integrate automated build, test, and deployment solutions.

• Make well-informed decisions and devise solutions for daily tasks based on prior experience.

• Mentor and support less-experienced team members.

• Address system integration and capability issues identified during testing and implementation.

• Collaborate with project teams and end users to determine software requirements.

• Support the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages and tools for application integration and testing.

• Resolve software issues and respond to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.

• Participate in the creation of software documentation, including training and user manuals.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in agile software development with Java and Python, including related tools and frameworks.

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field is preferred; alternatively, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is acceptable.

• Experience with JavaScript, C#, and .NET is preferred or considered an advantage.

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum and Spring methodologies.

• Proven ability to lead and collaborate effectively within a team.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Experience with Docker and cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) is advantageous.

• Must be capable of remaining stationary for extended periods.

• Must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity equipment.
