Slovak Localization QA Tester, Proofreader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Review and enhance Slovak localized content for grammar, spelling, punctuation, consistency, formatting, and cultural or contextual accuracy.

• Carry out product test cases and detect localization and functional issues.

• Document and report bugs and errors using both internal and client-specific bug-tracking systems.

• Confirm that implemented fixes have been resolved correctly.

• Translate content from English into Slovak as required.

• Investigate user interfaces to uncover localization or functional issues.

• Assess translations within software, mobile applications, and documentation.

• Act as a subject matter expert on Slovak linguistic matters.

• Complete assigned tasks accurately, punctually, and in alignment with project quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Slovak and a strong understanding of Slovak culture and Slovakia.

• Proficient in both oral and written communication.

• Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and a dedication to quality.

• Ability to quickly and efficiently comprehend and prioritize tasks and issues.

• Capability to accurately follow testing instructions and test cases.

• Proficient in researching and resolving linguistic questions in Slovak.

• Ability to adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, checklists, and glossaries.

• Competence in troubleshooting basic problems, communicating effectively, and escalating testing issues.

• A background in Marketing, Journalism, Copy Editing, Proofreading, Writing, Translation, and/or Localization is preferred.
