Junior HR & Payroll Specialist, German – Austria Payroll

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Assist in managing payroll operations using both ticketing and payroll systems.

• Oversee and manage ticket queues to ensure prompt processing.

• Employ the hrX suite for payroll processing and related tasks.

• Comprehend and interpret payslips while adhering to the payroll calendar.

• Recognize deviations from the standard service scope and facilitate change requests.

• Appropriately manage sensitive and confidential information.

• Generate and interpret standard and client-specific payroll reports, including support for statutory reporting.

• Review and validate payroll data, escalating or initiating corrections as necessary.

• Respond to payroll-related inquiries via phone, email, and ticketing systems.

• Assist in executing SOX/SOC1 controls and compliance initiatives.

• Maintain and adhere to Defined Work Instructions.

• Provide support for third-party transactions as needed.

• Engage in knowledge transfer and collaborate effectively with team members.

• Contribute to Root Cause Analysis activities.

• Aid in payroll system maintenance testing and resolving issues.

• Stay updated on Austrian payroll legislation, system developments, and procedures.

• Take part in designated projects and activities.


⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

• Advanced proficiency in German and English (minimum B2 level).

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in Payroll administration, HR Operations, or a similar HR/Payroll setting.

• Familiarity with or interest in Austrian payroll processes is a plus.

• Ability to adapt in a global and fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Self-driven with a desire to learn.

• Knowledge of HRIS systems.

• Authorization to work in Poland without the necessity of visa sponsorship from Strada.

• Successful completion of required background checks.
