Junior Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in enhancing and supporting applications within the client's systems ecosystem.

• Investigate and resolve incidents, bugs, and technical challenges.

• Examine escalated tickets to determine technical root causes, application behavior, and points of failure.

• Conduct investigations utilizing logs, database queries, APIs, and integrations.

• Create low- and medium-complexity fixes under the mentorship of seasoned developers.

• Aid in improvements, adjustments, and minor functional upgrades.

• Replicate errors, identify occurrence scenarios, and document findings.

• Execute debugging and troubleshooting to uncover the root cause of incidents.

• Develop and maintain code in line with technical, architectural, and quality standards.

• Design and uphold unit tests and support technical validation efforts.

• Utilize version control systems, including branches, commits, pull requests, and code reviews.

• Consume and assist in maintaining APIs and integrations between systems.

• Support database queries and analyses employing SQL.

• Participate in deployments, user acceptance testing, and post-implementation monitoring.

• Collaborate with Mid-Level and Senior Developers, QA, Product Owners/Operations Management, and technical teams.

• Document analyses, covering causes, solutions, evidence, impacts, and procedures.

• Identify recurring issues and technical debt, proposing enhancements.

• Engage in technical refinement sessions, meetings, and team ceremonies.

• Build knowledge of the client's architecture, integrations, systems, and business rules.

• Gradually develop technical autonomy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Familiarity with at least one programming language utilized in application development.

• Understanding of programming logic, object-oriented programming, data structures, and development best practices.

• Basic knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP requests, JSON, and system integrations.

• Understanding of databases and SQL.

• Familiarity with Git and version control, including branches, commits, merges, and pull requests.

• Basic understanding of debugging, troubleshooting, and log analysis.

• Knowledge of unit testing concepts and software quality assurance.

• Ability to interpret functional and technical requirements and translate them into software changes.

• Basic awareness of the software development lifecycle.

• Familiarity with agile methodologies and multidisciplinary teams.

• Strong investigative and problem-solving abilities.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Organized and accountable in managing tasks and requests.

• Collaborative mindset, technical curiosity, and dedication to continuous learning.

• Ability to work under the mentorship of more experienced professionals, incorporating code review feedback and adhering to technical standards.

• Required: programming logic, one development language, Git, SQL, REST/JSON APIs, HTTP, basic debugging, log reading, knowledge of testing, and technical problem investigation.

• Preferred: experience with systems support/AMS, enterprise applications, retail or e-commerce, CI/CD, cloud, observability and monitoring, microservices, messaging, integrations, Clean Code, and SOLID principles.
