Junior Data Engineer, Power BI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with a group of technology specialists on intriguing projects across diverse sectors.

• Design and build clients’ Azure Data Platforms.

• Transition SSAS cube objects and SSIS pipelines from on-premises SQL Server to Azure Cloud Resources.

• Guarantee data integrity, completeness, and operational readiness of data processes.

• Enhance UI/UX, standardize logging, and establish monitoring and alert systems.

• Automate Power BI report generation and workspace management.

• Create backup strategies, manage costs, and maintain documentation.

• Architect and develop universal data platforms for global aerospace firms utilizing Azure and Databricks.

• Design platform architecture and processes while assisting in technology selection.

• Implement data catalogs with Databricks and Apache Spark/PySpark.

• Develop secure integration solutions and monitor data quality through Delta Live Table tests.

• Write complex SQL queries and create database procedures.

• Generate Power BI data visualizations and actionable insights.

• Design and implement ETL processes, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, and Data Lakes.

• Collect and analyze requirements to create logical and physical data models.

• Utilize various data storage and database technologies to construct scalable solutions.

• Deploy data applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and GitHub.

• Take ownership of assigned tasks and contribute to project and product development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in technical, mathematical, or economic disciplines.

• At least 1.5 years of experience in implementing, developing, or maintaining Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence, or Big Data systems.

• Strong comprehension of data processing and ETL/ELT methodologies.

• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data processing tasks.

• Practical experience with Power BI for data visualization.

• Solid understanding of Azure services for cloud-based data solutions.

• Familiarity with web application design principles, including twelve-factor applications.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Experience with Git and CI servers.

• Independent and responsible approach to delivering high-quality solutions.

• Proactive mindset with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

• Excellent command of English, at least at the C1 level.

• Interest in pursuing a career as a Data Engineer.
