Junior Data Engineer, AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Play a key role in the development, operation, and advancement of an AI-driven agentic product that provides insights from large-scale enterprise systems.

• Design, construct, and support scalable data services, cloud infrastructure, AI agents, and platform components.

• Engage in infrastructure automation, CI/CD processes, and Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives.

• Enhance system reliability, observability, performance, scalability, and security throughout the platform.

• Collaborate with engineering and data teams to investigate contemporary AI and data technologies.

• Contribute to enhancements in platform architecture.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with software engineering practices, REST APIs, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Proficiency in German or French is an advantage.

• Knowledge of cloud platforms and Infrastructure as Code tools such as AWS CloudFormation or CDK.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps methodologies, and operational monitoring/logging.

• Competence in Python and SQL.

• Understanding of data engineering concepts, AI/LLM applications, or GitOps.

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

• Problem-solving orientation with a focus on operational excellence.

• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently when required.

• Eagerness to learn new technologies and approaches.
