Junior Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Assist in calculating revenue and expenses for Banking, Cards, and Financial Services, as well as managing the accounting close, under the supervision of senior analysts.

• Manage ongoing operational requests while investigating and resolving isolated issues within financial databases.

• Aid in the data collection process from BigQuery, Databricks, spreadsheets, and internal tools, adhering to established guidelines and protocols.

• Conduct basic descriptive analyses, recognize clear trends, and prepare elementary reports under guidance.

• Help organize and present data through dashboards, accounting reports, and business metrics reports.

• Play a role in identifying financial discrepancies and faulty workflows in databases like the Ledger.

• Facilitate internal and external audits by compiling requested evidence and data sources.

• Engage in automation rollouts and team pilot programs by validating outcomes and gathering feedback.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fundamental SQL knowledge (SELECT, FROM, WHERE, GROUP BY, ORDER BY).

• Familiarity with BI tools for dashboard usage (Looker, Power BI, Data Studio, or similar).

• Basic understanding of managing large datasets.

• Intermediate skills in Excel/Google Sheets (formulas, pivot tables).

• Basic comprehension of how databases store and arrange information.

• A completed degree or currently in the final year of study in Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Prior work experience, internships, academic projects, or Junior Enterprise involvement.

• Preferred: interest in or experience with fintech, banking, or financial markets.

• Preferred: familiarity with BigQuery, Databricks, or Google Apps Script.

• Preferred: curiosity regarding accounting and regulatory matters (accounting close, CADOC/BACEN, auditing).
