Junior Compliance Manager – Legal AI Tech

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assist in the certification process for ISO 27001, 9001, 27017, 27018 and 42001, BSI C5, SOC 2, and TISAX.

• Gather evidence and monitor controls and corrective measures.

• Aid in the preparation of internal and external audits.

• Keep compliance documentation, policies, and records up to date.

• Enhance and develop the company's knowledge base, including internal documents and responses to questionnaires.

• Manage compliance requests from customers and partners, such as information security questionnaires and due diligence inquiries.

• Stay updated on regulatory changes, including the EU AI Act, GDPR guidelines, and professional secrecy regulations.

• Oversee data protection activities, including data subject requests, vendor and sub-processor assessments, and DPA tracking.

• Promote compliance awareness throughout the organization, offering onboarding training and self-service resources.

• Evaluate new features in real legal scenarios and streamline routine tasks through automation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in law, business, information management, or a related field is required.

• Previous internships or initial work experience in compliance, data protection, auditing, or information security are advantageous.

• Capability to monitor controls, gather evidence, meet deadlines, and identify responsible parties.

• Strong attention to detail.

• A proactive and open-minded demeanor.

• Ability to take initiative and work independently.

• Receptiveness to feedback and new methodologies.

• Capacity to stay composed under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Interest in regulations and technology, including GDPR, the EU AI Act, and security standards.

• Proficient in articulating requirements to engineers or sales colleagues in clear language.

• Familiarity with Confluence, Jira, spreadsheets, and AI tools.

• Enthusiasm for automating repetitive tasks.

• Proficient in both German and English, in written and spoken forms.
