Junior Cloud Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Provide support for a web-based application aimed at overseeing the safety of commercial air carriers through the management of safety incident analysis, operations, maintenance, and service quality.

• Collaborate as part of a cross-functional, Agile development team alongside a Department of Defense (DoD) customer.

• Develop code that enhances front-end functionalities.

• Create SOAP and REST web services for various applications.

• Facilitate data exchange with other systems to disseminate results.

• Partner with lead developers to address complex issues.

• Engage in software development through interactive design, build, and testing cycles.

• Uphold the principles of the Agile methodology.

• Integrate code into the continuous integration pipeline for incremental system builds and to receive immediate feedback on build performance.

• Write unit tests and automate integration testing.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Java Development.

• Proven experience in code implementation.

• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.

• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming languages, particularly Java.

• Capable of working with general direction on intricate projects, issues, and challenges.

• Possess strong innovative and analytical skills, along with practical implementation experience.

• Demonstrates adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies.

• Experience in a big data environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with Java is essential.

• Knowledge of relational data models is preferred.

• Familiarity with Spring Boot and SpringMVC frameworks.

• Experience with SOAP and REST web services.

• Proficient with GIT, Maven, and Jenkins.

• Experience with Oracle and/or Amazon RDS for Oracle is an advantage.
