Junior Billing & Collection Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee complete trade finance processes encompassing billing, collection, and payment activities.

• Generate, verify, submit, and issue invoices for revenue and costs.

• Address billing disputes and facilitate resolutions with both internal and external stakeholders.

• Implement collection strategies and follow up with partners to guarantee prompt invoice payments.

• Manage outgoing payments and ensure accurate allocation of incoming cash.

• Supervise billing, collection, and payment cycles for designated partner portfolios.

• Conduct reconciliations of receivables and payables.

• Handle a dedicated portfolio of trade partners.

• Collaborate with stakeholders from Finance, Sales, Legal, and Operations.

• Assist with process enhancement and automation projects.

• Track and report on KPIs including DSO, DPO, billing accuracy, open disputes, and cash flow.

• Participate in audits, reconciliations, and reviews of internal controls.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned trade financial operations.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in billing, collection, payment management, or similar financial operations is preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading, writing); additional languages are a plus.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Exceptional communication and collaboration abilities.

• Comprehensive understanding of billing, collection, and/or payment processes.

• Proactive, detail-oriented, and focused on results.

• Competence in MS Office and ERP/finance software.

• Familiarity with automation and AI tools, such as Power BI, YayPay, and D365.

• Experience in the Telco and IT industries is required.
