Junior AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Develop tools, automation systems, and applications that cater to internal business requirements in marketing, research, and workflow enhancement.

• Create, test, and optimize workflows based on language models for tasks such as classification, summarization, extraction, generation, and search assistance.

• Collaborate with teams in Marketing, Product, Data Science, and other business sectors to convert requirements into effective, scalable solutions.

• Build Python-based services, APIs, and internal applications that incorporate AI functionalities into everyday workflows.

• Assess and enhance system performance concerning quality, speed, reliability, and cost-efficiency.

• Recognize edge cases, improve system functionality, and contribute to the best practices in applied AI development.

• Keep abreast of advancements in the AI field and assist in evaluating tools and methodologies for potential adoption.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous internship experience in software engineering.

• Practical experience in developing workflows based on LLM or applied AI.

• Proficient in Python programming.

• Knowledge of agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and Cursor.

• Capacity to comprehend stakeholder needs and translate them into actionable solutions.

• Comfortable navigating a variety of projects and addressing ambiguous challenges.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

• Preferred: Experience with agentic frameworks like LangGraph/LangChain, Google ADK, and OpenAI Agent SDK.

• Preferred: Knowledge of evaluation techniques and frameworks such as MLFlow, Arize, and LangSmith.

• Preferred: Familiarity with front-end prototyping.
