Junior Accounts Receivable Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Assist the Accounts Receivable (AR) team with daily activities while undergoing training and mentorship.

• Aid in following up on invoices, tracking payments, analyzing accounts, and managing outstanding balances.

• Examine aging reports to identify overdue or outstanding balances that need attention.

• Engage with clients regarding their invoices, payments, and any outstanding balances.

• Acquire knowledge of client-specific processes, procedures, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Ensure accurate record-keeping and documentation of AR activities.

• Detect discrepancies or issues and escalate them as needed.

• Prioritize tasks according to urgency, business impact, and client requirements.

• Adjust to various clients, processes, and systems as business needs change.

• Convey information clearly, succinctly, and professionally both internally and to clients.

• Undergo practical training and mentorship for the first 2–4 months, then take responsibility for client AR activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets with a strong comfort level working with data.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.

• High level of attention to detail and numerical accuracy.

• Self-motivated, organized, and enthusiastic about learning new processes and systems.

• Capability to adapt to new tools, workflows, and specific client requirements.

• Prior experience in Accounts Receivable, Finance, Customer Support, or a similar field is not mandatory.

• Familiarity with AR processes, accounting principles, QuickBooks Online (QBO), ERP, CRM, or other financial systems is advantageous.
