This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Follow up with insurance payers regarding outstanding claims.

• Identify and eliminate barriers to payment while expediting cash collections.

• Manage and collect on accounts within the designated inventory.

• Employ follow-up strategies and tools to resolve claims and secure payment.

• Escalate unresolved claims to payer claims supervisors when necessary.

• Document client host systems utilizing the 5 W’s framework along with relevant policies and procedures.

• Transfer account notes into Amplify’s workflow tool.

• Assign status codes in Amplify to track and address emerging trends.

• Draft first- and second-level appeals for denials to ensure payment is received.

• Report payer denial and other significant trends to Management.

• Address assigned underpayments as directed by Management.

• Uphold daily productivity and quality standards.

• Investigate and analyze correspondence pertaining to assigned accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be able to work independently from home in a dynamic, fast-paced, and goal-driven environment.

• Experience in direct account follow-up and/or billing is required.

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology, ICD-10, CPT, and DRG is essential.

• Intermediate experience with Excel is preferred.

• Ability to protect confidential patient account information.

• Comprehensive understanding of the entire revenue cycle.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are necessary.

• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage inquiries and interact with customers effectively.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivables/collections is necessary.

• Experience with Meditech Expanse is a plus.

• Must have a stable internet connection, a quiet dedicated workspace, and the necessary office equipment.
