Junior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Perform bookkeeping tasks for a diverse range of public and private clients across various sectors.

• Maintain different audit working papers as required.

• Communicate directly with clients’ external auditors and comprehend the audit process.

• Handle multiple functional currencies and foreign exchange transactions.

• Organize and maintain electronic records of invoices and statements efficiently.

• Oversee GST and PST filings for clients accurately.

• Execute additional administrative duties as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor's degree.

• Enrolled in a program that fulfills all prerequisites for the CPA Professional Education Program.

• Capable of managing the challenges of formatting documents in Word.

• Comfortable with Excel and its functionalities.

• Able to work effectively under tight deadlines.

• Eager to take on challenging assignments to enhance skills in a nurturing learning environment.

• Open to adopting new technologies.

• Highly detail-oriented and meticulous in work execution.

• Intends to pursue CPA designation.

• Submission of a resume is mandatory.

• An official or unofficial transcript is required.

• Desired start date should be clearly indicated in the resume filename.

• Previous experience in accounting or bookkeeping is advantageous.

• Experience in customer service or client service is a plus.

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and Sage 50 is beneficial.
