Journeyman Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Gather, evaluate, and compile data related to IUU fishing.

• Assist in the creation of a comprehensive report for governmental feedback.

• Perform research informed by open-source data and agency insights.

• Conduct interviews with subject matter experts.

• Effectively summarize findings.

• Analyze intricate information.

• Develop actionable recommendations and produce clear written materials.

• Aid in the preparation of monthly status reports and necessary electronic submissions.

• Engage in weekly discussions with MLE to assess progress, review documents, and plan subsequent actions.

• Manage sensitive interagency information appropriately.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 4 to 6 years of professional experience in maritime policy, research, and analysis.

• Proficiency in analyzing information sources and producing concise written reports.

• Familiarity with marine fisheries legislation, especially the Maritime Security and Fisheries Enforcement Act.

• Understanding of maritime policy, research, and analysis.

• Capability to conduct open-source and agency-informed research.

• Skill in collecting, analyzing, and synthesizing information from various sources.

• Ability to interview subject matter experts and effectively summarize their findings.

• Competence in analyzing complex information and delivering clear written reports.

• Strong technical review and writing skills.

• Ability to provide practical recommendations.

• Skill in handling sensitive interagency information appropriately.

• Ability to convey findings clearly in written reports.
