Java, Kafka Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality APIs and microservices.

• Ensure scalability, security, and stability in production environments, primarily for banking projects.

• Translate functional and technical requirements into efficient backend solutions.

• Implement business logic in accordance with microservices architecture principles.

• Define and apply standards for versioning, security, error handling, and API governance.

• Integrate services with legacy systems and internal/external platforms.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and quality standards.

• Participate in CI/CD processes, deployments, and provide support in both production and non-production environments.

• Analyze logs and incidents for diagnosing and correcting failures.

• Document services, workflows, and API contracts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

• Over 2 years of experience in Backend development.

• Proficiency in Java 8-17+, Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Security), and microservices.

• Experience with Apache Kafka.

• Familiarity with REST and SOAP APIs.

• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.

• Knowledge of Jenkins, Git, cloud environments, SonarQube, Postman/SoapUI, and Jira/Confluence.

• Basic English proficiency.
