Java Fullstack Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Oversee the technical investigation and establish comprehensive application traceability.

• Evaluate the performance of Java applications.

• Diagnose issues within WebSphere and WebLogic environments.

• Conduct JVM profiling, analyze garbage collection, and perform heap dump and thread dump evaluations.

• Implement organized application logging and utilize correlation IDs.

• Track distributed transactions through applications, APIs, and their downstream dependencies.

• Employ APM tools like Datadog or New Relic.

• Diagnose Oracle performance leveraging SQL execution plans, AWR, and ASH reports.

• Assess JDBC connection pools, application thread pools, and session management strategies.

• Investigate API latency, timeouts, retries, and failures in dependencies.

• Monitor browser-to-backend transactions and evaluate frontend errors.

• Troubleshoot issues related to networks, proxies, load balancers, and TLS.

• Trace transactions through legacy or partially instrumented platforms.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Java application performance engineering.

• Proficient diagnostic skills in WebSphere and WebLogic.

• Experience with JVM profiling, garbage collection analysis, heap dumps, and thread dumps.

• Proven ability to implement structured logging at the application level and utilize correlation IDs.

• Experience with distributed tracing across various applications, APIs, and downstream dependencies.

• Practical experience with APM tools such as Datadog, New Relic, or comparable software.

• Background in Oracle performance diagnostics, including SQL execution plans, AWR, and ASH.

• Familiarity with JDBC connection pools, application thread pools, and session management.

• Experience in analyzing API latency, timeouts, retries, and dependency failures.

• Knowledge of browser-to-backend transaction tracing.

• Competence in Real User Monitoring and frontend error analysis.

• Skill in troubleshooting networks, proxies, load balancers, and TLS issues.

• Experience tracing transactions across legacy or partially instrumented platforms.

• Proficient in English.

• Knowledge of Java Fullstack development.
