Java Developer, Web Applications

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with an established team of web developers to deliver full-stack web applications that meet operational needs.

• Document and confirm web application requirements.

• Create automated tests that are in line with testing plans.

• Offer architectural design and development support to meet web application requirements.

• Engage in software design discussions and suggest appropriate tools, technologies, and techniques.

• Assist in refactoring and updating current web applications to introduce new features and enhance reliability and performance.

• Ensure adherence to software security standards by evaluating the cybersecurity posture of web applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen with at least an active Secret clearance.

• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.

• Experience may substitute for degree requirements.

• Over 3 years of experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining full-stack web applications and software systems.

• More than 2 years of experience in identifying and validating software application requirements.

• At least 2 years of experience with web UI components, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript (NodeJS), and Angular.

• Minimum of 2 years of proven ability to design and construct RESTful web services.

• Over 2 years of experience with Java EE/Jakarta EE integration, Servlets, and JDBC.

• Familiarity with PostgreSQL or equivalent and SQL queries.

• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, Java EE (Streams, Lambda expressions), Collections framework, and Exception handling.
