Java Developer – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain systems utilizing Java and/or JVM-based programming languages.

• Create and manage microservices and APIs through Spring Boot and Node.js.

• Implement and oversee containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Establish and uphold continuous integration pipelines alongside automated deployment workflows.

• Write unit tests and apply practices such as Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD).

• Engage in teams applying agile methodologies, particularly Scrum.

• Operate within both public and private cloud settings.

• Maintain code quality, readability, test coverage, and overall maintainability.

• Utilize DevOps methodologies and tools throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Work with WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, and SQL Server.

• Collaborate with team members to pinpoint and resolve technical challenges.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.

• Background in Software Engineering.

• Relevant experience with Java and/or JVM-based programming languages.

• Proven experience in developing and operating systems.

• Familiarity with microservices and APIs leveraging Spring Boot and Node.js.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes, including standard Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, GKE, and OpenShift.

• Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Nexus, SonarQube, GitLab, Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, and StarTeam.

• Understanding of continuous integration, automated deployment, unit testing, TDD, and BDD.

• Acquainted with public and private cloud environments, such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

• Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, WebSphere, JBoss, Kafka, Kafka Streams, SQL Server, and Kubernetes.

• Dedication to producing readable, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• A collaborative and proactive approach with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
