Java Developer – Mid-Level

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Take initiative to maintain and enhance new applications based on defined requirements, utilizing DevOps methodologies, microservices, and continuous integration.

• Assess the effort needed for implementations with less detailed specifications, striving to deliver within the projected parameters.

• Provide guidance to less experienced developers regarding technical expertise, best practices, and workflows.

• Facilitate the integration of new technologies.

• Execute unit tests on modifications to ensure code quality and security standards are met.

• Engage in Agile ceremonies, such as Planning, Daily Stand-ups, and Retrospectives, aiding in the establishment and tracking of Sprint goals.

• Conduct code reviews for fellow developers within the same team.

• Create source code documentation for the system.

• Safeguard and ensure the security of information managed by the systems.

• Design and sustain corporate systems for Deliver IT as part of projects for a well-respected higher education institution in Brazil.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in Java development.

• Familiarity with Spring Boot and REST APIs.

• Understanding of Oracle databases.

• Knowledge of microservices architecture.

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

• Awareness of messaging systems, such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.

• Proficient in version control using Git/SVN.

• Experience with unit testing.

• Knowledge of continuous integration and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

• Possess a completed higher education degree.

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps is advantageous.

• Ability to work with manuals and instructions related to the field in English.

• A completed postgraduate specialization is preferred.
