This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

• Write, test, and maintain code for essential financial microservices utilizing modern Java, including Java 21.

• Develop dependable solutions leveraging microservices, REST APIs, and message-driven patterns.

• Employ Kiro and Claude Code throughout the software development lifecycle.

• Define technical tasks, produce code, troubleshoot production issues, and create unit/integration test suites.

• Engage in code reviews and adhere to team best practices.

• Collaborate with other teams and contribute reusable components using the inner-source approach.

• Maintain and support infrastructure resources on AWS and Terraform.

• Work alongside the product team to grasp technical requirements and achieve business objectives.

• Actively seek and share knowledge and insights with the team.

• Professional experience with Java and microservices architecture.

• Strong foundational knowledge in data structures, design patterns, testing, and debugging.

• Practical experience integrating AI development tools into engineering workflows.

• Capability to assess, refactor, and validate AI-generated outputs.

• Understanding of System Design and Reliability Engineering principles.

• Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL or Postgres.

• Familiarity with message brokers.

• Proficient in using Docker containers.

• Experience with CI/CD practices, including Jenkins and GitHub Actions.

• Proficient in Git.

• Knowledge of core AWS services, including ECS, EKS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and RDS.

• Experience with observability tools like DataDog or AWS CloudWatch.

• Enthusiasm for teamwork, code reviews, and continuous learning.

• Experience with C# .NET development (optional).
