This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

• Identify and resolve performance issues across applications, APIs, and downstream dependencies utilizing distributed tracing techniques.

• Diagnose and enhance WebSphere and WebLogic environments.

• Conduct JVM profiling and analyze garbage collection processes.

• Assess heap and thread dumps for performance insights.

• Implement structured logging at the application level along with correlation IDs.

• Examine API latency, timeouts, retries, and failures in dependencies.

• Perform troubleshooting for networks, proxies, load balancers, and TLS configurations.

• Execute browser-to-backend transaction tracing and Real User Monitoring (RUM).

• Work collaboratively with international teams to tackle complex engineering issues.

• Extensive experience in Java application performance engineering.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities with WebSphere and WebLogic platforms.

• Proficiency in JVM profiling, garbage collection analysis, heap dumps, and thread dumps.

• Practical experience with Application Performance Monitoring (APM) tools like Datadog, New Relic, or equivalent.

• Background in Oracle performance diagnostics, including SQL execution plans, AWR, and ASH.

• Skilled in managing JDBC connection pools, application thread pools, and session management.

• Experience in tracing transactions across legacy or partially instrumented systems.

• Familiarity with structured logging at the application level and the use of correlation IDs.

• Expertise in distributed tracing across applications, APIs, and downstream dependencies.

• Experience in analyzing API latency, timeouts, retries, and dependency failures.

• Proficient in browser-to-backend transaction tracing and Real User Monitoring (RUM).

• Knowledgeable in network, proxy, load balancer, and TLS troubleshooting.

• Advanced proficiency in oral English.

• Advanced proficiency in Spanish.

• Familiarity with cloud-native foundations or AI coding assistants is a plus.
