Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Revamp current systems while also creating new services.

• Address technical challenges pertaining to performance, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Produce clean, thoroughly tested, and high-quality code.

• Engage in technical discussions, code reviews, and architectural decision-making.

• Collaborate with team members to enhance engineering practices consistently.

• Acquire and implement new technologies that provide tangible benefits.

• Develop high-performance distributed backend systems and modernize the platform by redesigning existing services and constructing new ones.

• Utilize the Playtech Open Platform, a cohesive network and API facilitating communication with Playtech infrastructure and integration between gaming provider services and operator systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong understanding of modern Java, with a preference for Java 21/25.

• Familiarity with multithreading and concurrency.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Knowledge of algorithms and data structures.

• General understanding of distributed systems and backend application architecture.

• Basic comprehension of database concepts.

• Proficiency with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.

• Dedication to producing high-quality, maintainable, and well-tested software.

• Experience with Spring Framework, Hibernate/JPA, Git, and Docker.

• Familiarity with performance tuning and debugging performance issues is a plus.
