Java Backend Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create Java applications utilizing Spring Boot

• Design and enhance microservices

• Develop and implement REST APIs

• Improve existing applications for better performance

• Maintain quality through thorough testing and code reviews

• Craft modern backend solutions for the banking and insurance sectors

• Collaborate within agile teams

• Actively participate in technical decision-making processes

• Thoughtfully incorporate agentic AI and LLMs into sustainable software architectures

• Promote collaboration through code reviews, knowledge sharing, refactoring, and mutual support

⛳️ Requirements

• Multiple years of experience with Java enterprise applications

• Proficiency in Spring and Spring Boot

• Expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs

• Familiarity with Git, Maven, SonarQube, and container technologies

• Willingness to share expertise with peers and assist in onboarding new developers

• Ability to develop and enhance software collaboratively

• Capability to articulate complex business and technical concepts clearly

• Independent, structured, and solutions-oriented work ethic

• Open and empathetic communication style

• Readiness to take on responsibilities

• Fluent in German (minimum C1 level)
