Japanese VRI/OPI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Understand the specific terminology relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates, particularly in healthcare and medical fields.

• Deliver all messages accurately and in full, without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Ensure the highest standard of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Implement professional standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Demonstrate a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide updates to your team leader.

• Adhere to the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Japanese".

• At least 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
