This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Translate user interfaces for Chess.com applications, encompassing Chess.com Web & Mobile, ChessKid, and Dr. Wolf.

• Translate marketing initiatives.

• Translate Coach analysis, Game Review, Courses, and associated content.

• Translate and refine graphical assets.

• Review previously submitted translations to ensure top-notch quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• A passion for chess and a comprehensive understanding of chess terminology.

• Demonstrated professional experience in translating complex texts between English and Japanese.

• Outstanding linguistic knowledge, including a solid understanding of language theory and structure.

• Native or near-native fluency in both English and Japanese.

• Excellent communication abilities and a high level of responsiveness.

• Capability to collaborate effectively on platforms like Slack.

• Proven track record of working efficiently and meeting tight deadlines, sometimes requiring a 24–48 hour turnaround, including weekends and holidays.

• Basic skills in graphic editing.
