Japanese Sports Localization Specialist – Football

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Review, localize, fact-check, translate, and adapt sports-related content, primarily focusing on football, while following established writing style guides and protocols.

• Conduct research specific to your market, examining local content, product and terminology trends, as well as effective localization practices tailored to your target audience.

• Provide constructive feedback on written materials.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/BA degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in the linguistic field, sports journalism, copywriting, or copy-editing.

• In-depth knowledge of sports, with a strong emphasis on football.

• Experience with the translation and localization of multimedia content, ideally including machine translations and evaluations.

• Native-level proficiency in Japanese.

• Outstanding grammar and writing abilities in English.

• Strong creative writing, proofreading, and editing skills in Japanese.

• Technologically proficient: robust practical knowledge of computers, mobile devices, word processing software, and spreadsheets.

• Must possess a licensed version of MS Office applications.
