Japanese Language Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.

📋 Description

• Engage in conversations with the language model focusing on scenarios involving the Japanese language.

• Evaluate advanced language models on aspects such as grammar, syntax, morphology, kanji, kana, phonology, pragmatics, and other related subjects.

• Assess factual correctness and logical coherence.

• Record reproducible error traces and document instances of model failures.

• Propose enhancements for prompt engineering and assessment metrics.

• Utilize your expertise in the Japanese language to assist in training the next generation of AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in the Japanese language, covering grammar, syntax, morphology, kanji, hiragana, katakana, phonology, and pragmatics.

• Capability to analyze verb conjugations, sentence structures, honorifics, varying levels of speech (formal and informal), regional dialects, kanji readings, and the Japanese writing systems.

• Strong metacognitive communication skills and a demonstrated ability to articulate your thought process.

• A Master’s or PhD in Japanese language, linguistics, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Relevant experience such as peer-reviewed publications, teaching roles, or practical linguistic analysis projects indicates suitability.
