Italian Language Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Evaluate advanced language models on topics related to the Italian language.

• Record instances of model failures to enhance reasoning capabilities.

• Engage in conversations with models regarding language scenarios.

• Assess factual accuracy and logical coherence.

• Document reproducible error patterns.

• Propose enhancements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Assist in providing training data for the forthcoming generation of AI.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in the Italian language, covering grammar, syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics.

• Capacity to challenge advanced language models on aspects such as verb conjugation, sentence structure, noun-adjective agreement, idiomatic expressions, formal and informal speech, and regional dialects.

• Competence in documenting model failure instances.

• Ability to interact with models regarding language scenarios.

• Skill in verifying factual accuracy and logical coherence.

• Proficiency in capturing reproducible error patterns.

• Capability to recommend improvements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Strong metacognitive communication skills (“showing your work”).

• A master's or PhD in Italian language, linguistics, or a closely related discipline is preferred.

• Having peer-reviewed publications, teaching experience, or involvement in hands-on linguistic analysis projects indicates a good fit.
