IT Systems IV&V Specialist – Verification, Validation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Plan and carry out independent verification and validation activities for IT systems and implementations within public agencies.

• Evaluate solution readiness, traceability of requirements, coverage of tests, and risks associated with going live.

• Generate clear findings for IV&V, maintain risk registers, and provide recommendations tailored for clients.

• Offer guidance on IT advisory and assessment workstreams related to IV&V, including reviewing architecture and overseeing implementations.

• Contribute qualifications and narratives of past performance related to IV&V for AlphaGov proposals, when authorized.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience in IT systems verification and validation (IV&V) or independent quality assurance.

• Background in implementing systems within the public sector, higher education, or large enterprises.

• Ability to work as a 1099/project-based collaborator, with travel required for client on-site engagements.

• Experience with IV&V or PMO oversight across multiple agencies or statewide (preferred).

• Knowledge of IEEE or ISO IV&V practices, or similar quality assurance frameworks for public agencies (preferred).

• Previous consulting experience with Arizona or Southwest state agencies in IT (preferred).
