IT Security Engineer, PKI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Strategize and manage highly reliable IT systems within intricate IT settings, emphasizing Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and Hardware Security Modules (HSMs)

• Act as a primary liaison for clients and team members within agile frameworks

• Ensure the seamless operation of diverse IT infrastructures

• Continuously improve and advance the IT ecosystem

• Provide guidance to clients on security solutions related to PKI and HSMs

• Uphold stable operations with a commitment to innovation and ongoing enhancement

• Plan and execute standard modifications in alignment with ITIL

• Engage in on-call duties

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, completed vocational training with an IT emphasis, or a similar qualification

• Several years of experience with Windows and/or Linux servers in complex IT infrastructures

• Comprehensive knowledge of asymmetric cryptography and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), including the foundational X.509 technology

• Initial experience with EJBCA is a plus

• Familiarity with PKCS#11 for interacting with HSM hardware

• Experience managing audited and certified processes within a production setting

• Self-sufficient, organized, and solution-focused approach to work

• Strong collaborative skills, with an eagerness to adapt and learn in response to technological advancements

• Proficient in both written and spoken German and English

• Willingness to engage in on-call duties
