IT Security Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the monitoring of security events and manage incident response ticket queues.

• Assess security events according to established service level agreements and objectives.

• Conduct investigations of alerts and anomalies utilizing endpoint detection and response tools.

• Create precise timelines regarding potential threats and possible compromises.

• Convey cybersecurity concepts in a manner that is easily understandable for clients.

• Report indicators of compromise, isolation measures, and remediation processes.

• Examine system, security, and application logs to identify faults and detect unusual behavior.

• Investigate, escalate, contain, or eliminate malicious activities.

• Prepare and present written and verbal security reports and metrics.

• Suggest enhancements to internal processes and procedures.

• Engage in threat hunting initiatives and special projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of two years of experience in Information Security or related fields.

• One certification is preferred: CompTIA Security+, CompTIA CySA+, CCNA, C|EH, SSCP, or an equivalent.

• Proficiency with SIEM platforms, firewall management, and endpoint detection and response systems.

• At least one year of experience with EDR solutions, ESGs, vulnerability management, and content filtering.

• Availability to work from 4pm to 1am EST.

• Successful completion of criminal and Department of Motor Vehicles background checks.

• Ability to meet Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) requirements after employment.
