IT Project Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead technical discovery efforts, evaluate existing environments, establish requirements, and create client solutions.

• Develop and implement projects utilizing Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, Windows, Azure, macOS, Apple device management, along with associated identity, collaboration, and endpoint platforms.

• Carry out migrations, deployments, integrations, configuration adjustments, and modernization initiatives.

• Formulate detailed project plans, validation processes, rollback strategies, and client communications.

• Design and execute AI-enhanced workflows and automation solutions for business or service delivery challenges.

• Assess tools, link systems and data, create prototypes, and successfully transition solutions into production.

• Leverage scripting, APIs, and workflow tools to automate processes such as provisioning, onboarding and offboarding, device management, reporting, ticket workflows, and other repetitive tasks.

• Implement access controls, data management, human review, logging, and testing for AI and automation solutions.

• Diagnose complex issues within Microsoft and Mac environments.

• Collaborate with project managers, service delivery teams, security personnel, and client stakeholders to address dependencies.

• Generate technical documentation, implementation records, training materials, and transition protocols.

• Suggest enhancements and standardize reusable designs and automation processes across clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in designing and delivering client-facing IT projects, preferably in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or similar multi-client setting.

• Strong practical expertise in Microsoft and Mac ecosystems, encompassing Windows and macOS administration, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune, and proficiency with at least one Apple management platform such as Addigy or Jamf.

• Experience with identity, endpoint management, security controls, migrations, and cloud or hybrid environments.

• Hands-on experience in building automations utilizing PowerShell, Python, APIs, Microsoft Power Automate, or similar tools.

• Ability to articulate the solutions you've developed, elucidate how they function, and explain the validation process.

• In-depth practical knowledge of AI tools, including their capabilities and limitations, with experience in designing and implementing AI workflows or integrations in production settings.

• Capacity to convert business requirements into technical specifications, evaluate trade-offs, manage implementation risks, and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong documentation practices and the ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a project manager and other engineering teams.

• Preferred experience with Microsoft Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI services, or similar enterprise AI platforms.

• Preferred experience with Microsoft Graph, Apple Business Manager, Autopilot, and cross-platform endpoint deployment.

• Preferred experience with PSA/RMM platforms like ConnectWise Manage, NinjaOne, or other related MSP tools.

• Preferred experience with security, compliance, or governance requirements in regulated client environments.

• Relevant Microsoft or Apple certifications, or a portfolio showcasing completed engineering and automation projects.
