This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.
• Oversee the development and management of the Epic Factory AI Program.
• Spearhead strategic initiatives across applications under the guidance of the AVP of Clinical Applications for Strategic Projects & AI.
• Collaborate with IT leadership and business units to formulate business cases and requirements addressing technology-related challenges.
• Facilitate business relationship management, strategic planning, and portfolio/demand management.
• Foster constructive relationships across IT and business sectors.
• Convey business value and strategy while coordinating efforts across IT to attain operational excellence.
• Investigate industry practices and performance metrics.
• Manage and oversee project activities while providing technical guidance to project teams.
• Evaluate project portfolio initiatives and determine measurable outcomes.
• Establish processes and tools to assess project benefits.
• Mentor and guide IT staff on workflows and functionalities for newly implemented and enhanced systems and processes.
• Engage in technical skill development for analysts and contribute to performance evaluations and development goals.
• Develop business process mappings that illustrate system and workflow interdependencies.
• Assist in risk mitigation, communication strategies, implementation plans, work plans, and scope management.
• Must be an Epic EHR certified professional with extensive hands-on experience across core applications.
• Epic clinical application certification is mandatory (e.g., Ambulatory, Orders, ClinDoc, etc.).
• Proven experience with Epic clinical applications along with the necessary years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field is required.
• Generally requires 7 years of progressively responsible experience in information systems with exposure to technical or project management.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, healthcare standards, and end-to-end workflow design.
• Experience in leading complex, high-visibility projects from inception to execution.
• Demonstrated history of delivering strategic initiatives, including emerging and AI-enabled healthcare solutions.
• Proficient in change management.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capability to develop functional requirements, risk assessments, cost estimates, plans, and delivery tracking.
• Ability to craft effective presentations and documentation.
• Aptitude for resolving unusual, complex, and ambiguous issues through judgment and creativity.
• Capacity to work independently with minimal supervision and mentor colleagues.
• Skill in influencing and directing work teams while managing multiple priorities.
• Must reside in one of the designated eligible states.
