IT Procurement Lead – Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement long-term category strategies and sourcing frameworks.

• Oversee comprehensive sourcing initiatives, encompassing requirement development, market analysis, competitive assessments, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and implementation support.

• Negotiate intricate agreements for software, SaaS, cloud, data, and technology-enabled services.

• Provide counsel to senior business and technology executives regarding sourcing strategies, market trends, supplier options, commercial risks, and trade-offs.

• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance, Enterprise Architecture, Procurement Operations, and other stakeholders.

• Assess and manage strategic suppliers throughout the contract lifecycle.

• Generate value through cost optimization, demand management, supplier consolidation, contractual safeguards, process enhancements, and supplier-driven innovation.

• Create financial analyses, business cases, negotiation tactics, savings predictions, and executive-level recommendations.

• Track healthcare technology and supplier market trends to identify emerging risks and opportunities.

• Advocate for preferred suppliers, procurement policies, sourcing methodologies, and contract standards.

• Mentor colleagues and promote consistent category management and sourcing practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, technology, finance, or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• At least eight years of progressively responsible experience in IT procurement, strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, or a closely related area.

• Proven experience in sourcing, negotiating, or managing healthcare technology solutions, or similar complex technologies in a highly regulated environment.

• Expertise in negotiating complex agreements for software, SaaS, cloud, data, and technology-enabled services.

• Strong grasp of category management, strategic sourcing, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and supplier relationship management.

• Capability to integrate business, clinical, regulatory, privacy, security, data, and integration factors into sourcing decisions.

• Ability to advise and influence senior business and technology leaders, translating business needs into sourcing strategies.

• Experience in managing strategic supplier performance, contractual obligations, commercial risks, renewals, and value realization throughout the contract lifecycle.

• Strong financial and business acumen, including evaluation of pricing models, development of business cases, total cost analysis, and effective communication of financial and commercial implications.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, executive presence, relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

• Aptitude for analyzing complex information, drawing sound conclusions, making recommendations, and working independently with minimal supervision.

• Willingness to work during Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time hours.

• Minimum home internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload.
