IT Operations Specialist – R&D

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Configuration and preparation of fundamental source environments.

• Participation in setting up environments for testing new software from the research sector.

• Ensuring basic functionality of environments that cover automated/manual testing.

• Verification of the correctness of the provided source image for a specific environment.

• Identification of basic discrepancies in the configuration of environments.

• Basic collaboration with developers in analyzing technical issues related to the core functionality of tests.

• Updates/new versions of source images.

• Involvement in daily team tasks, meetings, and reviews.

• Conducting tests as required by the PS department.

• Working under the guidance of experienced specialists and mentors.

⛳️ Requirements

• Good knowledge of Linux kernel-based systems (RPM/DEB) in terms of administration, diagnostics, and configuration from the CLI level.

• Ability to write Bash scripts (task automation).

• Familiarity with virtualization environments (preferably KVM family).

• Understanding of networking (LAN, routing, NAT, DNS, basic firewall knowledge).

• Knowledge of storage technologies (iSCSI, NFS, SMB/CIFS).

• Proficiency in CLI and remote system administration.

• Skills in log analysis and troubleshooting.

• Proficient in English for working with documentation and technical communication with clients worldwide.

• Experience with containerized environments is a plus.

• Experience with backup and disaster recovery systems is a plus.

• Independence in task execution and good work organization.

• Persistence in problem-solving.
