This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with leadership to develop the annual IT operating and capital budget.
• Maintain ongoing forecasts and model costs related to initiatives, headcount adjustments, and contract renewals.
• Oversee the IT budget tracker, spending register, and associated financial models.
• Reconcile commitments and departmental expenditures with Finance’s general ledger actuals and purchase orders.
• Identify and rectify any miscoded, duplicated, unbudgeted, or otherwise inconsistent charges.
• Prepare purchase requisitions and ensure proper coding of purchase orders.
• Review vendor invoices against contracts, purchase orders, completed work, and rate cards.
• Manage transactions and reconciliations for purchase cards and Amazon Business ghost cards.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Accounts Payable regarding payment statuses, disputes, and vendor setup.
• Maintain inventories of software subscriptions, support agreements, and service contracts.
• Track renewals, authorizations for expenditures, capitalizable spending, amortization, multi-year commitments, and prepaid arrangements.
• Generate monthly financial packages that cover budget versus actuals, forecasts, commitments, and commentary on variances.
• Prepare analyses for total cost of ownership, vendor comparisons, build-versus-buy evaluations, and contract renewals.
• Develop, maintain, and document tools for financial tracking and reporting.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Accounts Payable, project leaders, and IT management during close and budget reviews.
• Maintain financial controls and records to support audits and Sarbanes-Oxley technology control requests.
• Mentor team leads and project owners on budget management and purchasing protocols.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting, with at least one year in support of a technology, engineering, or shared services department.
• Proven experience reconciling departmental tracking with general ledger actuals and addressing variances.
• Familiarity with the purchase order and invoice lifecycle, as well as accruals, prepaid expenses, and the classification of capital versus operating expenses.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to build and maintain models for others.
• Capability to clearly communicate financial results to non-financial audiences without using jargon.
• Strong attention to detail and a history of identifying errors before they reach Finance or leadership.
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
• Background in IT financial management is preferred.
• Knowledge of technology cost attribution frameworks is preferred.
• Experience with JD Edwards or a comparable ERP procurement and accounts payable module is preferred.
• Experience constructing reports in Power BI or a similar tool is preferred.
• Progress toward CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Successful completion of a background investigation is required for U.S. employment offers.
