IT Data Solutions Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +32 more states.

📋 Description

• Analyze, create, and improve analytical and operational data solutions and platforms.

• Take the lead on metric and technical design and documentation initiatives in collaboration with operational and IT teams.

• Oversee multiple medium- to large-scale projects and requests utilizing project management tools and methodologies.

• Convert business requirements into validated data solutions, encompassing analysis and validation from raw sources to the final result.

• Ensure comprehensive and precise documentation that adheres to industry standards.

• Provide production support for ETL/ELT and data solutions, which includes problem identification, design, implementation, testing, data models, integrations, and reporting.

• Administer data solutions, including training, on-call support, and involvement in upgrades and modifications.

• Manage organizational change through standard processes and tools, supporting the adoption of necessary changes.

• Stay updated on healthcare, EHR, ERP, cloud, SQL, BI technology, and industry trends.

• Mentor junior team members, sharing expertise in enterprise data-solution analysis and development.

• Conduct independent analyses of clinical, financial, ERP, and operational metrics.

• Handle multiple small- to medium-sized projects and tasks effectively.

• Produce documentation that supports educational and presentation initiatives.

• Travel outside the workplace as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent knowledge.

• Typically 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare or similar environment, focusing on report, data, or analytics development.

• Experience with enterprise EHR, Rev Cycle, and/or ERP applications, depending on the specific role.

• Proficiency in data/BI tools such as Business Objects, Epic Slicer Dicer, Power BI, Tableau, etc.

• Familiarity with database content creation, including tables, views, and stored procedures.

• Knowledge of traditional database platforms such as Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, or others.

• Experience with cloud data development platforms like Snowflake, Fabric/Synapse, Redshift, or BigQuery.

• Strong skills in SQL, Python, Java, or other data manipulation, procedural, or scripting languages.

• Proficient with ETL/ELT and data orchestration tools like SSIS, ADF, DB2, Informatica, or DataStage.

• Understanding of healthcare systems, including EHR, Quality, or ERP data experience.

• Certification(s) may be necessary based on position focus, or to be obtained within 6 months and maintained according to vendor or department requirements.

• Roles focused on Epic require Epic certification(s) in relevant Cogito/reporting applications.

• Roles centered on Workday require Workday certification(s) in relevant Workday reporting applications.

• Must reside in an approved U.S. state; international remote work is not allowed.

• Effective communication skills with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

• Experience in logical and physical database design, data modeling, complex queries, business intelligence and ETL tools, and change control methodology.

• Understanding of data visualization, data storytelling, EHR, and ERP workflows and reporting.

• Proficiency with Microsoft products and EHR and ERP workflows and reporting, as well as hardware and software systems.

• Knowledge of the software or data development lifecycle and process design.
