IT Applications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia, +7 more countries.

📋 Description

• Assist and actively lead IT application projects throughout the Group, focusing on SAP S/4HANA as part of Project Atlas.

• Engage in all phases of SAP implementation, which include design, build, UAT, deployment, hypercare, and stabilization.

• Monitor project advancement, risks, dependencies, and timelines, following up and escalating as necessary.

• Facilitate collaboration among business teams, IT, and system integrators to achieve project milestones.

• Aid in cutover planning and execution for go-live across various countries.

• Prepare and compile project status updates for IT leadership.

• Evaluate business requirements and convert them into functional and technical specifications.

• Collaborate on solution design and assess system integrator proposals.

• Provide assistance with functional and technical implementation documentation.

• Analyze and support SAP integrations with POS, payroll, finance tools, and other enterprise systems.

• Review interface designs, mappings, data flows, dependencies, and integration methodologies.

• Diagnose integration challenges and support integration efforts throughout the lifecycle.

• Serve as a primary operational contact for system integrators and vendors.

• Coordinate and hold vendors accountable to ensure quality, timelines, and responsibilities.

• Assist in IT governance processes, including Incident, Request, Change, and Release Management.

• Ensure applications adhere to IT standards, architectural guidelines, and security protocols.

• Support UAT, define test scenarios, conduct defect analysis, manage change, prepare training, and facilitate knowledge transfer.

• Identify risks and areas for improvement; follow up on mitigation strategies.

• Monitor system performance and usage, promoting standardization, automation, and enhanced system utilization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a comparable field.

• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required).

• Extensive experience in SAP S/4HANA implementations; Finance/RTR experience is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated experience throughout the complete SAP project lifecycle, from Explore to Hypercare.

• Strong comprehension of business processes including RTR, MTI, PTP, and QTC.

• In-depth knowledge of system integrations, APIs, web services, and data flows.

• Experience with enterprise application ecosystems, encompassing both SAP and non-SAP systems.

• Capability to review, validate, and question technical and functional solutions.

• Solid understanding of data structures, master data, and transactional processes.

• Techno-functional ability to connect business with IT.

• Capability to analyze cross-application dependencies and their impacts.

• Strong problem-solving abilities in complex, multi-system environments.

• Proficient in managing multiple priorities and stakeholders at once.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• 10+ years of experience in IT applications, system implementations, or ERP environments.

• At least 6 years of hands-on SAP S/4HANA experience (required).

• Experience in ERP transformation programs is strongly preferred.

• Experience collaborating with system integrators and external vendors.

• Familiarity with regional or multi-country settings is an advantage.
