This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Design, develop, and implement application features, enhancements, and defect resolutions, including development and configuration within the Duck Creek platform.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code that adheres to coding standards and best practices.
• Conduct root cause analysis and address moderately complex defects, system issues, and performance challenges.
• Engage in technical design discussions and contribute to the design and implementation of solutions.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, QA, DevOps, and product teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct peer code reviews to maintain coding standards, quality, and uniformity throughout the codebase.
• Assist with application deployments, release activities, and troubleshooting in different environments.
• Operate within CI/CD pipelines and enhance build, deployment, and release processes.
• Identify opportunities for code optimization, performance enhancements, and system improvements.
• Analyze system workflows and integrations to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
• Take ownership of assigned features from development through testing and deployment support.
• Mentor and support junior developers while contributing to knowledge sharing within the team.
• Adhere to and continuously enhance development processes, standards, and engineering best practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 4 years of application development experience in software engineering roles.
• More than 2 years of hands-on experience with Duck Creek Policy and/or Billing platforms.
• Strong practical experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications.
• Experience in Agile teams and contributing to the complete lifecycle of feature delivery.
• Proficient in Duck Creek configuration, including rules, forms, workflows, product model, and/or integrations such as APIs, services, and batch processing.
• Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional planning and organizational abilities.
• Hands-on experience with Duck Creek Policy and/or Billing platforms is highly preferred.
