This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Assist in the design, development, and testing of new applications, modifications, and upgrades.
• Offer technical support, maintenance, development, programming, and troubleshooting for Customer Information Systems (CIS) and their integration with other systems.
• Deliver reports, queries, data analyses, problem analysis, and resolution to internal customers.
• Facilitate data synchronization between GIS, CIS, AMI, and MDM.
• Maintain productive relationships with external service providers, vendors, and support personnel to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Provide documentation, project tracking, and management reporting for the department's work plan.
• Supply technical information for Disaster Recovery planning.
• Engage in annual Technical Asset Review updates and asset life cycle management.
• Adhere to internal audit requirements, testing policies, and change control processes.
• Participate in CIS Team meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
• Be available for after-hours callouts for application support.
• Carry out assigned System Restoration and System Emergency Operations Plan (SEOP) responsibilities.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least five (5) years of experience in a client-focused IT support position.
• Proficient understanding of Customer Information Systems (CIS) or Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP), along with billing systems.
• Preference for expertise in Oracle or other relational databases such as MSSQL or MySQL.
• Strong SQL writing skills are essential.
• Experience with PL/SQL is preferred.
• Familiarity with reporting tools such as Cognos, TM1, SQL Server Reporting Services, and/or Crystal Reports is advantageous.
• Strong commitment to customer service.
• Capability to work independently or collaboratively in teams with minimal supervision.
• Project Management experience is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
• MS Project experience is a plus.
• Experience with utility application systems, billing systems, and/or electrical infrastructure and design would be beneficial.
• Willingness to travel for training and User Group participation.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to work standard hours from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday to Friday.
• Willingness to work 40–50 hours when necessary to meet deadlines.
• Availability for off-hour emergency monitoring and after-hours application support callouts.
