IT Analyst I

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.

📋 Description

• Deliver technology assistance, including triage, configuration, testing, and maintenance for designated applications or services.

• Oversee and sustain operational processes for application business sectors.

• Identify anomalies and collaborate with intermediate and senior technicians to address issues.

• Aid in the development and testing of new applications, application modifications, and upgrades.

• Conduct secondary testing and documentation prior to solutions being deployed to production.

• Execute data analysis, problem analysis, testing analysis, and problem resolution for internal clients.

• Investigate and replicate system issues to identify their origins.

• Partner with external vendors to resolve system-related challenges.

• Adjust and enhance business processes with internal stakeholders to accommodate evolving needs.

• Determine steps for issue reproduction, system enhancements, and process improvements with internal clients.

• Develop system usage guidelines and provide training on new features and functionalities.

• Assist in onboarding new department members and creating additional support resources.

• Support, test, configure, and troubleshoot Customer Information Systems (CIS).

• Serve as backup for critical roles in Production Operations.

• Prepare documentation that supports the department's work plan.

• Contribute to special projects and collect external customer data for mail merges.

• Report environmental concerns and discrepancies to the Environmental Department.

⛳️ Requirements

• An associate degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.

• At least 6 months of experience in a client-oriented IT support role is preferred.

• Familiarity with testing methodologies is required.

• Strong commitment to customer service is essential.

• Capability to work autonomously or as part of a team.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.

• Familiarity with utility application systems, billing systems, and/or electrical infrastructure and design is preferred.

• Must be open to traveling for training purposes.

• A valid driver's license is required.

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and effectively prioritize responsibilities.

• Significant computer usage is expected.

• Occasional travel, including overnight stays, is necessary.

• Compliance with internal audit standards, testing policies, and change control procedures is mandatory.

• Must adhere to established environmental procedures and instructions.
