📋 Description

• Engage with advanced language models regarding practical laboratory scenarios and theoretical questions in microbiology.

• Ensure the accuracy of facts and the validity of logical reasoning.

• Capture reproducible error traces effectively.

• Propose enhancements to prompt engineering and evaluation metrics.

• Test language models on topics related to pathogen isolation, microbial culture, biosafety, and diagnostic workflows.

• Record failure modes to enhance model reasoning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in pathogen isolation techniques.

• Experience with microbial culture methods.

• Knowledge of enrichment and selective media.

• Familiarity with aseptic and sterile protocols.

• Understanding of biosafety practices.

• Background in clinical microbiology.

• Expertise in diagnostic workflows.

• Ability to isolate bacterial, viral, fungal, and parasitic pathogens from clinical and environmental samples.

• Experience with differential and selective plating methods.

• Knowledge of colony morphology.

• Competence in Gram staining techniques.

• Understanding of hemolysis patterns.

• Experience with anaerobic culturing.

• Skills in contamination control.

• Strong metacognitive communication skills and the ability to demonstrate your analytical process.

• A PhD in microbiology, clinical laboratory science, medical technology, or a closely related life-science field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Peer-reviewed publications indicating suitability.

• Practical experience in pathogen isolation within clinical, research, or public health laboratories is advantageous.

• Familiarity with biosafety levels BSL-1 to BSL-4 indicates a good fit.
