This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.
• Conduct research, testing, and selection of IoT technologies, such as sensors, controllers, gateways, meters, routers, and connectivity solutions.
• Develop prototypes, configure devices, troubleshoot integrations, evaluate alternatives, and choose technologies that fulfill technical, operational, and cost criteria.
• Design and standardize IoT solutions that outline how devices interface with Keedian Link and the wider ecosystem.
• Generate repeatable reference architectures, technical specifications, device configurations, and Bills of Materials utilizing MQTT, LoRaWAN, BACnet, Modbus, APIs, and edge-to-cloud connectivity.
• Engage directly with Linux-based gateways, IP networking, cellular connectivity, VPNs, and remote access.
• Identify communication issues and collaborate with Product & Engineering on platform integration modifications or enhancements.
• Convert real-world requirements into technical solutions, modifying architectures or exploring new technologies to meet customer demands.
• Offer technical architecture, hardware selection, and specifications for proposals and deployments.
• Continuously enhance the technology stack to streamline installations, boost reliability, lower costs, and develop scalable, repeatable products.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, Automation, or a related technical discipline.
• Over 3 years of hands-on experience with IoT, embedded/edge technologies, electronics, automation, or connected devices.
• Solid practical knowledge of IoT architectures and device connectivity.
• Practical experience working within Linux environments.
• Experience with MQTT.
• Familiarity with configuring, integrating, testing, or troubleshooting physical IoT devices.
• Ability to comprehend technical documentation, device specifications, APIs, and communication protocols.
• Experience in selecting hardware or evaluating technical alternatives based on specific requirements.
• Basic networking knowledge, including IP networking, routers, VPNs, cellular connectivity, and remote access.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Professional proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
• A valid U.S. B1/B2 Visitor Visa currently held or obtainable before employment.
• Valuable experience with LoRaWAN, BACnet, Modbus, BAS/BMS, HVAC controls, energy metering, refrigeration monitoring and controls, lighting controls, Niagara Framework, edge computing, cloud IoT platforms, APIs and system integrations, BLE, Zigbee, energy analytics, or FDD.
• Experience with Milesight, Teltonika, Accuenergy, Carel, Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Schneider Electric, or similar ecosystems is advantageous.
