Investment Banking Associate

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +4 more countries.

📋 Description

• Attract investors to opportunities on Pairs and manage each investor process with a banker’s precision.

• Oversee the investor list, initial outreach, follow-ups, meetings, and next steps for companies that pass diligence.

• Leverage existing investor relationships while establishing new connections with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, angels, and direct-investing funds.

• Assess which investors are likely to commit capital.

• Take ownership of investor processes, ensuring that the right investors are approached in the correct sequence and followed up until there is a definitive response.

• Maintain and evaluate investor relationships.

• Align opportunities with investors based on their investment preferences.

• Sustain ongoing communication with investors between opportunities.

• Collaborate closely with the two co-founders and the investor team.

• Engage in screening opportunities and reviewing rejected deal flow.

⛳️ Requirements

• Have experience with live capital raises or M&A processes and conduct investor or buyer outreach independently, beyond just creating the deck and model.

• Maintain investor relationships that you have personally established and be able to articulate the origin of each connection.

• Understand what information an investor needs before agreeing to a meeting and how to elicit responses from busy investors.

• Uphold a high standard for accuracy.

• Consider discretion as a fundamental principle.

• Refrain from including any investor names in your application.

• Utilize AI tools daily, demonstrating clear judgment about where they enhance your work and where they might detract from its quality.

• Be comfortable scheduling 10 or more investor meetings weekly while adhering to a structured process.
