Investigator – Grants Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +2 more countries.

📋 Description

• Create and distribute Investigator Grants for both pre- and post-award functions.

• Provide support to various teams involved in the delivery of Investigator Grants.

• Report directly to the Manager of Investigator Grants.

• Develop, present, and maintain Investigator Grants exports during the bidding process and the development of study templates.

• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure the delivery of Investigator Grants is accurate, complete, and timely.

• Assist in the creation and upkeep of processes, policies, SOPs, and related documents for Investigator Grants.

• Offer guidance to Commercial Operations, Project Management, Business Development, Site Activation, Clinical Operations, and clients regarding forecasting strategies and risk mitigation.

• Analyze study protocols and coordinate with relevant departments to finalize costing strategies for protocol-driven expenses.

• Evaluate study budgets and costs associated with Investigator Grants operations.

• Engage in activities related to Commercial Operations.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

• Familiarity with global industry standard benchmarks and fair market value.

• Demonstrated experience using investigator grant software, such as GrantPlan or Grants Manager, on an international scale.

• Background in reviewing and comprehending study protocols, budgets, and technical, medical, and legal documents pertinent to Investigator Grants.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and deadline-driven environment.

• Strong skills in planning, strategizing, managing, monitoring, scheduling, critiquing, and solving problems.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication as well as negotiation abilities.

• Understanding of clinical trial agreements.

• Proficient in document and spreadsheet software applications.

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in business administration, law, science, or a related discipline.

• At least 2 years of experience in forecasting Investigator Grants.

• Strong knowledge of the biopharmaceutical/CRO industry and relevant local regulatory requirements.

• Understanding of global industry standard benchmarks, fair market value, ICH and GCP Guidelines, and local compensation and regulatory standards.

• Excellent proficiency in both spoken and written English.

• Experience with investigator grant forecasting tools, such as GrantPlan or Grants Manager, is preferred.
