Investigations Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct investigations into fraud and insider threat incidents by collecting evidence, analyzing data from various sources, and reconstructing events.

• Evaluate alerts and reports regarding potential misconduct, fraud, or insider actions, and escalate as necessary.

• Examine logs, transactions, and behavioral indicators to detect anomalies and create comprehensive case narratives.

• Thoroughly document investigations in an objective manner, ensuring careful handling of evidence and maintaining the chain of custody.

• Collaborate with Detection & Response, Legal, and HR on sensitive issues while adhering to established processes and maintaining discretion.

• Contribute to the development of investigation playbooks and identify patterns that can lead to new detection and prevention strategies.

• Manage confidential information with the highest level of integrity and care.

• Independently oversee cases from start to finish and become a reliable, discreet member of the investigations team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in investigations, fraud analysis, security operations, intelligence analysis, or a similar analytical position.

• Proven ability to work with diverse data sources and draw well-supported conclusions.

• Excellent judgment, discretion, and ethical standards when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.

• Ability to write clearly and objectively for case documentation.

• Comfortable querying and analyzing logs or transactional data.

• Detail-oriented with the capability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

• Experience with insider threat, fraud detection, or e-discovery/forensics tools is a plus.

• Familiarity with SIEM, DLP, or UEBA data sources is advantageous.

• Relevant certifications such as CFE or a background in law enforcement, intelligence, or forensics are beneficial.

• Skills in scripting or data analysis, including SQL or Python, are desirable.
