This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Improve reporting and process requirements for the Inventory Accounting team.
• Reconcile inventory transactions with financial records, ensuring accuracy in item costing, values, and timing.
• Perform weekly analyses of inventory costing, identify discrepancies and transactional errors, and recommend corrective measures.
• Reconcile the inventory clearing GL account, address transaction errors, and pinpoint pricing inconsistencies.
• Review inventory reconciliation files and offer feedback or requests for changes.
• Assist in the monthly final inventory upload process to ensure audit precision.
• Implement cost reporting responsibilities during month-end close, including monthly journal-entry reclassifications for sample orders.
• Travel to selected inventory facilities biannually to aid in physical counts and conduct onsite auditor reviews.
• Maintain tracking systems for open operations and inventory claims.
• Support standard operating procedures and documentation for new and evolving processes.
• Engage in month-end closing activities, attend executive reporting meetings, and assist with annual audit data compilation.
• Perform ad hoc analyses for business and financial evaluations.
• Report to the Senior Manager of Inventory Accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Approximately 1-3 years of experience in a corporate finance, accounting, operations, or similar environment.
• Previous experience in an inventory-focused industry, particularly in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG), is advantageous.
• Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with NetSuite is preferred.
• A strong desire to learn with the ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Exceptional attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and robust analytical skills.
• Capability to manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize effectively, and achieve results with a sense of ownership.
• Discipline and accountability while working remotely.
• Proficient in Excel and comfortable handling large datasets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills along with strong relationship management capabilities.
• Must reside in the United States.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship now or in the future.
