This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Supervise the quarterly non-US tax provision process in accordance with the company's closing schedule, collaborating with external providers and internal teams.
• Direct the preparation and processing of local tax provisions, tax forecasting, and quarterly reporting.
• Develop and enhance tax models for provision, planning, and forecasting across various jurisdictions.
• Monitor tax deliverables, deadlines, and escalations.
• Create materials for leadership reviews, external reporting, and compliance obligations.
• Oversee relationships with third-party tax service providers while managing competing tasks and projects.
• Assist in strategic tax initiatives by providing quantitative insights and recommendations.
• Keep track of legislative and regulatory changes and evaluate their effects on tax operations and modeling.
• Lead and contribute to cross-functional tax projects, including process enhancements, system implementations, audit readiness, and policy rollouts.
• Play a role in the continuous improvement of tax workflows, reporting accuracy, and team efficiency.
• Work with senior tax and accounting leaders to translate business changes into updates for tax processes and modeling assumptions.
• Prepare documentation for tax audits, inquiries, and internal control assessments.
• Oversee tax department operations, including calendar management, documentation workflows, and coordination of internal and external resources.
• Over 8 years of experience in corporate tax, tax operations, financial analysis, or related disciplines.
• Proficiency in Excel and financial modeling, along with a willingness to learn new technologies.
• Experience in supporting tax provision cycles, compliance procedures, and audits.
• Capability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with accuracy and accountability.
• Understanding of tax control frameworks, documentation standards, and reporting obligations.
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to distill technical information for non-tax stakeholders.
• Preferred experience with tax provision software or ERP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• CPA, MST, or an equivalent certification is advantageous.
