This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.
• Lead the strategic launch and commercial expansion of sustainability assets within Elanco's international markets.
• Develop programs that deliver credible outcomes for Scope 3 and offset buyers.
• Design and convey monitoring requirements to the UpLook team.
• Execute emission reduction initiatives in collaboration with Elanco International teams.
• Oversee the complete design and development of carbon programs for OUS markets.
• Create program design documents and guide MMRV and operational strategies.
• Collaborate across program design, commercial, technical, and operations teams.
• Implement relevant standards and methodologies in carbon project design.
• Represent Elanco in global working groups.
• Manage relationships with consulting partners.
• Handle program-level risks and co-develop program contracts in partnership with Legal and Operations.
• Supervise MMRV processes for sustainability assets in key markets.
• Lead the localization and implementation of the UpLook platform in international markets.
• Advocate for OUS UpLook requirements in roadmap and prioritization discussions.
• Collaborate with Global Strategy on pathways for program commercialization.
• Provide technical insights to food chain and off-take partner account leaders.
• Assist with CPG/buyer contracting and engagement.
• Oversee third-party consultants, auditors, and technology partners.
• Position Elanco as a recognized expert in livestock sustainability through participation in industry panels and the publication of white papers.
• Report directly to the Vice President of Livestock Sustainability.
• Bachelor's degree in Animal Science, Animal Biology, or a related field, along with 3+ years of experience, or a PhD with 1 year of experience.
• Over 5 years of progressive experience in sustainability, agribusiness, or marketing within the animal health or livestock industry.
• In-depth knowledge of carbon markets and GHG accounting, particularly Scope 3.
• Proven experience in applying key methodologies and standards in carbon project design, including voluntary carbon market experience, consulting, or MMRV design.
• Strong comprehension of dairy and feedlot/beef production systems, with direct engagement with producers.
• Familiarity with dairy and beef carbon footprinting methodologies.
• Experience with third-party validation and verification processes.
• Proficiency in English is required; Spanish or Portuguese is preferred.
• Willingness to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
